Swatch-It-Up-Saturday Jan 25

Howdy, and Happy Saturday!  We got a huge dumping of snow again last night.  They had all the highways around us closed, and just reopened some of them about an hour ago.  Tyler and I don’t have any plans today, so we don’t have to worry about not getting to where we are supposed to be.  It’s a great day to snuggle up on the couch and watch a movie with a steaming mug of hot chocolate 😀
It’s Swatch-It-Up-Saturday again!  I don’t have too many swatches for you this week though, but let’s get to it, shall we?

This is 3 coats of Ellagee That Sweet Without Peer.  The polish was super easy to apply, I didn’t have to do any clean up when I was done 🙂  That’s always a good thing, right?  I got this and 2 other polishes from the Scrumptious Sprinkles collection for Christmas.  I know a lot of people don’t like the bar glitters, but these lay flat on the nail, and don’t stick up to get caught on everything.  They are very similar to the Sally Hansen Fuzzy Coat polishes.  I wasn’t able to capture the real colour of this polish, but it’s a little lighter and the base colour is more like periwinkle.  I don’t see this on Ellagee’s online store, so I’m not sure if they have been discontinued, but she does have lots of other gorgeous polishes on there!

This is 2 coats of Zoya Adina.  This was one of my first Zoya polishes, I got it from Nail Polish Canada.  It’s beautiful!  It shifts from a grape-ish purple to a metallic olive-ish green.  I think it’s safe for me to say that this is one of my favourite Zoya polishes that I own 🙂  I’m not a huge fan of multi-/duochromes, but there’s something about this one that calls to me 🙂

This is 2 coats of Zoya Carter, from the Fall 2013 Pixie Dust collection.  Can I just say “wow!”??  I love texture polishes, especially this kind.  And I love purple, so this is a polish match made in heaven!  This is worn without base and top coats so as not to ruin the textured finish.  This has a lot of sparkle in it as well, but I couldn’t quite capture it when I was taking pictures.  Pixie Dusts and the Julie G Gumdrops textured polishes are my favourite textures!  I didn’t think I would like them, but I fell hard for them when I first tried them 😀
That’s it for this week, apparently I was feeling very purple, according to my swatches for the week.  I wonder what colour I’ll be feeling next week 😉
Have a great rest of your weekend!
