NOTD: Polka Dots Fench Tip Nail Art

Happy Friday everyone!  I hope everyone has great plans for the weekend!  My post is early today because I didn’t have to work today 😀  Love long weekends!!
I’m off to a birthday party/dance tomorrow night and then off to the Mandarin on Sunday for lunch for my Grandma’s 80th birthday — I can’t wait, I LOVE Chinese food 😀

Here is my mani for today.  I used the Bora Bora polish I put on last night as my base colour to this nail art.  I placed dots of colour along the tip (free edge) of my nail using a toothpick in Julep Hayden (light peachy-orange colour) and Lily (vibrant fuschia pink).

The picture taken in the sunlight shows off the light pink microglitter in Bora Bora.  This colour is beautiful, but is most true to it’s character in full sunlight.
I was going to do my whole nail with polka dots, but I thought it might take away from Bora Bora and I didn’t want to cover it up 🙂

  1. Hmmm- yeah, the pink shimmer does look nice in the sun. Still not as vivid as I had hoped when I ordered it, but pretty. I found another blue with pink shimmer just after I ordered Bora Bora- maybe it will be closer to what I had in mind. I'll let you know how it looks when I get it. 🙂

I like your dot mani, too… very cute! 🙂

  2. Hey- I got the other polish, and it's amazing! It's Girly Bits “Arctic Sunrise” and it's exactly what I wanted! The blue is just a tiny bit darker than Bora Bora, and the pink shimmer is very prominent, I can see it well even in crummy indoor lighting. 🙂

  3. That's good to know Pony 🙂 I looked it up and I prefer the blue colour of Bora Bora to Arctic Sunrise, but I will definitely keep that one in mind 🙂 Thanks for the follow-up! 😀
